Alberta HUB continues to work with the BRAED and PEP regional economic development alliance's on a joint Regional Economic Development Alliance (REDA) initiative. This initiative is designed to increase the awareness of the opportunities that exist for investing in the Alberta HUB region and the Eastern side of Alberta.
In 2010 the three REDAs jointly hired the consulting firm Activation Analysis Group Inc/GTS Group International Inc to undertake the initiative of creating a development and marketing plan. A wide variety of stakeholders including Eastern Alberta companies, communities and economic development organizations were contacted for input into this project.
Alberta HUB , BRAED and PEP have just completed a Foreign Direct Investment initiative which highlights the strengths of our regions. The goal of this project was to demostrate to Alberta HUB communities and businesses how Regional Economic Development Alliances can assist them in attracting new investment. Alberta HUB can work with communities and businesses on projects like the Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor, assist in attracting Foreign direct Investment, and help develop information resources to assist marketers of commercial industrial properties.
